Presentation on the National Park Service Artist-in-Residence Program
The speaker, Richard Eskin, Ph.D., has been awarded six residencies at national parks from Acadia in Maine to the east Cascades in Washington and south to Big Cypress National Preserve in Florida. Richard will discuss the application process, lodging, park assistance and the commitments expected of the resident with the goal of introducing the program to potential resident artists and helping them to understand if the program is right for them. Several brief slide shows set to music are included. There will be handouts on where to access more detailed information on the internet.
