Journeys

There are many journeys that we take throughout our lives, physical trips, change over time, time spent watching family grow and change and mental explorations of new ideas. Although many of the paintings in this exhibit are drawn from my travels both nearby and to exotic locals, some are composite compositions using images from my collections or a melding of personal photos with iconic designs. Many of the compositions show movement and imply a passage of time, a theme I return to often. As you view the artworks, I hope that you can imagine joining me as I relate stories from my travels, share moments with family, share objects from my personal collections, walk, run and ride through space and time. It’s the journey, not the destination, and I definitely believe that is true.
